Exploration meets Mining
To get involved head over to the forum and sign up in the specific research thread here and we'll hook you up with a Cluster Template.
If you want to get involved but are unsure what to do, take a look here.
Each individually numbered belt cluster will accommodate six or twelve asteroids.
Recommended Prospector: Anaconda. Its three Size 5 compartments are a perfect fit for the Prospect Controllers, allowing you to have twelve active limpets to cover all asteroids.
Samarium, Osmium and Praseodymium are the most common metals requested by the Mission Boards.
By having prospected clusters at our disposal, we are guaranteeing the availability of said metals to be able to fill our quotas with greater efficiency.
Prospecting Belt Clusters has been a slow process since 3302/3.
Knowing that asteroids for both Ringed Planets and Belt Clusters are not randomly generated, it has led to a great hunt for that elusive rock... Painite.
So far we are not aware of a Cmdr that has found any Painite within the metallic belt clusters but we believe it is out there somewhere.
The greater the numbers to take up the cause, the greater the chance of success.
Another efficient use of the Belt Cluster Prospecting is the high volume of Samarium, Praseodymium and Osmium that is apparent within them.
